Woodburn Kiwanis, as all other Kiwanis clubs are devoted to children. Woodburn itself has its “Terrific Kids” program which recognizes local students accomplishments and achievements. We also involve ourselves in a selling raffle tickets at the Oregon Fair State Fair yearly. The raffle is for a brand new Mustang and all proceeds go to Dornbeckers Childrens Hospital. In the area are also 2 Kiwanis Key Clubs which consist of our local High Schoolers involving themselves in Kiwanis, Woodburn High School Key Club and North Marion High School Key Club. Both of which we are very proud of! As of now the Woodburn Kiwanis Club is working on a Program which will reach out to the 5th graders in our community. Every month we will bring a little something, from notepads, to pencils, to every day necessities as tooth brushes. Along with our little token we will provide a program which will hopefully enrich our 5th graders lives and help them grow. Things like dental care, recycling, every day things they will incur through life. Some of our members are also involved in our tutoring program, where once a week they visit our local middle school and tutor the children who are needing a little bit of extra help.
